About the job

Key responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and execute both manual and automated tests using Selenium with Java-based scripting.
2. Collaborate closely with development teams to understand project requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
3. Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
4. Identify, record, document, and track bugs through the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC).
5. Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
6. Continuously monitor and improve the testing process, tools, and frameworks.
7. Contribute to the overall quality assurance strategy by proposing improvements to testing processes, tools, and techniques.
8. Participate in all stages of the SDLC, from requirements review through production deployment, ensuring quality is maintained at every stage.

Other requirements

1. Location: Must be based in India and will be employed by our Indian entity.

2. Technical skills: Proficiency in Java-based Selenium scripting and manual testing.

3. Automation skills: Ability to design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium.

4. SDLC Knowledge: Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and various testing life cycles.

5. Testing types: Knowledge of different types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, and system testing.

6. Attention to detail: Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

7. Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team environment.

8. Problem-solving: Proactive problem-solving skills and a self-driven attitude towards learning and improving QA processes.

9. Startup experience: Some prior experience working in a startup environment is good to have.
