1. Design and implement core components of our L1 blockchain protocol, with a focus on scalability, security, and efficiency
2. Develop and optimize consensus algorithms, leveraging knowledge in distributed systems to ensure network resilience and fault tolerance
3. Apply advanced cryptography techniques to enhance privacy, security, and integrity of transactions and data on the blockchain
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define protocol specifications and architecture, aligning with the overall project vision and milestones
5. Conduct rigorous testing and code reviews to ensure high-quality code standards and to identify potential vulnerabilities or improvements
6. Stay abreast of the latest developments in blockchain technology, distributed computing, and cryptography to drive innovation and improvements in our protocol
7. Mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaborative problem-solving
8. Engage with the broader blockchain community, contributing to open-source projects and participating in discussions and forums to gather insights and share knowledge
9. Prepare technical documentation and reports to communicate complex ideas and designs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
10. Lead by example in advocating for best practices in software development, security, and performance within the blockchain domain
1. Candidate must be available to work from 3:30 pm - 12:30 am Indian Standard Time (as the company is based outside of India & their local work timings are 6:00 am - 3:00 pm Eastern Standard Time)

Gateway is a decentralized protocol for creating, consuming, and displaying verifiable credentials to serve as a basis for an interconnected web and portable reputation. Applications and individuals using Gateway can natively issue custom credentials based on whatever parameters they decide - whether it be on their application, off-chain from sources like Twitter, or even based on on-chain conditions. Others can then consume this information to build more custom credentials, scoring models, or access points.
Now teams will be able to build more context around their community members, customers, and even employees. This will lead to a better experience on dApps, more meritocracy in core functions like governance and hiring, and hundreds of applications we at Gateway have not even thought of yet.
