Key Responsibilities:
1. Monitor user activity, network events, and signals from security tools to identify events.
2. Fine-tune SIEM rules to reduce false positives and remove false negatives.
3. Escalate validated and confirmed incidents to the designated incident response team.
4. Responsible for determining which alerts and other anomalous activity represent real threats. Remediate attacks and Triage on general information security tickets.
5. Collect data for more analysis, evaluate the attack, identify the root of the attack, implement required security actions to counter the attack, and restore system operations.
6. Responsible for investigating and generating reports on information security issues.
7. Proactively research and monitor security information to identify potential threats that may impact the organization.

1. Knowledge of SIEM (Security Information and Event Management).
2. TCP/IP, computer networking, routing, and switching IDS/IPS, penetration and vulnerability testing Firewall and intrusion detection/prevention protocols
Windows, UNIX, and Linux operating systems Expertise in TCP/IP network traffic, event log analysis, and other network protocols and packet analysis tools.
