We are seeking a dedicated and innovative textile designer who is passionate about pushing creative boundaries and embracing new challenges. Well-versed with handloom weaving techniques. Has a deeper knowledge of yarns, dyes & fabrics & their application. Who is willing to run that extra mile with us, experimenting & learning along the way?
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop designs for woven fabrics, prints, and embroidery, pushing the boundaries of traditional techniques
2. Create unique samples by experimenting with various yarns and weaving methods
3. Produce sketches and digital representations of sample designs, ensuring accuracy and clarity
4. Collaborate closely with artisans, providing guidance and oversight throughout the production process
5. Lead product development initiatives and conduct quality checks to maintain high standards
6. Proficient in design software to bring concepts to life and streamline the design process
7. Curate mood boards at the onset of each project and maintain them to inspire creativity and maintain project cohesion
8. Stay up to date with market trends, color forecasts, and emerging design innovations
9. Conduct research to generate innovative design ideas and concepts
10. Identify and pursue new client opportunities, preparing compelling pitch decks to showcase our capabilities
11. Create 3D/2D representations of final products for client presentations and approvals
12. Willingness to travel to client locations and work units as needed
13. Proactively seek out and engage with new artisans to expand our network and capabilities
1. Bachelor’s degree in Textile design
2. Proficient in Handloom weaving techniques
3. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
4. Willingness to embrace challenges and explore new ideas
