Job Responsibilities for SEN Educator:
Align with schools mission, objectives, and Inclusive Needs Policy, upholding ethical standards and confidentiality.
Actively participate in department and staff meetings, providing updates and insights on student progress.
Set realistic expectations for students' potential and communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and students.
Maintain records, including weekly logs and comprehensive IEPs for students requiring additional support.
Conduct workshops for faculty on identifying and supporting students with learning needs, and collaborate with teachers on differentiated teaching strategies.
Track and evaluate student progress, providing timely feedback and adjustments to interventions as necessary.
Prepare and manage documentation for exam accommodations, and liaise with external professionals for diagnostic assessments and program enhancements.
Facilitate team meetings, coordinate with external resources, and manage the SEN department budget.
Develop and support a Gifted and Talented Programme in collaboration with other departments.
Report quarterly on student outcomes and interventions to school leadership.

Preferred Skills, Qualifications, Experience, and Expertise for SEN Educator:
Education: Bachelors or Masters in Special Education or recognized postgraduate qualification in SEN.
Experience: Minimum 5 years in SEN teaching, with at least 2 years in an IB school preferred.
Skills:Confidence and knowledge in working with children with specific learning disabilities.Strong understanding of diverse cultural backgrounds.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Organization: Strong organizational skills.
Engagement: Willingness to participate in co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
Language Proficiency: Fluency and accuracy in written and spoken English.
Technology Proficiency: Skilled in MS Office, Padlet, Zoom, and other educational technologies.
