Junior Accountant Job

Key responsibilities:

I. Accounting/Banking/Payments

1. Develop, implement, and manage the overall accounting strategy.
2. Monitor and analyze accounting data for accuracy.
3. Verify supplier bills, manage filing (paid/unpaid), and prepare payments with proper documentation.
4. Maintain and update all financial data using accounting software (BUSY).
5. Adhere to Accounting SOPs and MIS guidelines.
6. Reconcile bank statements.
7. Ensure statutory payments and tax filings are completed before deadlines.
8. Timely disbursement of salaries and vendor payments.
9. Ensure timely payment of all recurring expenses.
10. Manage cash flow effectively.

II. Record keeping (Hard Copy & Soft Copy)

1. Maintain comprehensive records of invoices, expenses, etc.
2. Ensure regular updating of data related to invoices and expenses.
3. Record and file monthly sales tax reports.
4. Maintain monthly bank statements for all accounts.
5. Track daily cash receipts, payments, and petty cash expenses.
6. Document business expenses (both one-time and recurring).

III. Cross-functional activities

1. Coordinate with the warehouse department on stock availability and vendor management.
2. Ensure the regular processing of invoices and expenses.
3. Collaborate with distributors to resolve purchase bill inquiries.
4. Work closely with senior management to monitor budgets and cash flow, reporting any deviations immediately.
