(a) Accounts Transaction:
1. Responsible for initiating and process NEFT and RTGS transactions for payments to vendors, suppliers, and other third parties. Monitor the status of NEFT/RTGS transactions to ensure they are completed successfully and on time. Address any transaction failures or issues by liaising with the bank and resolving them promptly.
(b) Bank Reconciliation:
1. Responsible for performing regular bank reconciliations, as well as reconciliations of accounts, ledgers, and other financial data.
2. Ensure monthly stock reconciliations and report to your reporting head.
(c) Import Accounting:
1. Responsible for reviewing and processing import-related bills, including invoices, shipping bills, bills of lading, and customs duty documentation.
2. Ensure all import transactions are accurately recorded in the accounting system, including the cost of goods, freight, insurance, and customs duties.
3. Responsible to verify and process CHA bills, ensuring accuracy in the calculation of charges such as customs clearance fees, terminal handling charges, and other related expenses.
4. Ensure to perform regular reconciliation of import accounts, ensuring that all import-related expenses are accurately accounted for.
5. Reconcile CHA bills with import transactions.
(d) Daily Transactions Recording:
1. Responsible for recording daily financial transactions such as sales, purchases, receipts, and payments in the accounting software.
2. Ensure that all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
2. Experience: 2 to 5 years in a chemicals/ingredients distribution company.
3. Proficiency in accounting software (Preferred Spectrum software experience).
4. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
5. Good understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
6. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office tools.
