About the job

About the role:
We are currently seeking a highly motivated robotics software engineer, to work directly on the hardware and rapid test V3 robot at Mumbai Factory. The candidate will be working on optimizing the overall software stack while; calibrating sensor data, SLAM, localization, and precise navigation. You will be working closely with the software team based in Mumbai and London. As we are a start-up, there is plenty of room for progression and making the role your own. Occasionally, and in line with your strengths and interests, you may have to work outside your job description.

Key responsibilities:

1. Developing and implementing new software algorithms for the software stack
2. Implementation of ROS packages/ algorithms for mapping, localization, and navigation
3. Testing the software solutions on the V3 robot
4. Coordinate and collaborate with the software and app developers
5. Contributing from design to testing
6. Managing and prioritizing tasks as required

Candidate should be based in Mumbai or willing to relocate

Candidate should participate in traveling if required

Candidate should work on-site in our Mumbai Factory

Studied or currently studying towards a BSc, MSc in robotics software engineering, computer science, mechatronics, or related technology subject

Minimum 1-year of experience working on ROS, SLAM mapping, navigation, and sensor fusion

Minimum 1-year experience with autonomous navigation hardware and technologies: LiDAR and Intel Depth Camera

Strong programming experience with Python and C++ in Linux

Knowledge and interest in computer vision, machine learning, and robotics algorithms

The candidate is required to work on-site in Mumbai with the team

The candidate should be willing to travel

Salary

Probation:

Duration: 1 month

Salary during probation: ₹35,000 - 40,000 /month

After probation:

Annual CTC: ₹ 5,00,000 - 7,00,000 /year

Annual CTC breakup:

1. Fixed component: 90%

2. Variable component: 10%

1. PID calibration using Nicholas Ziegler Method
2. Display Video Stream on Rviz
3. Display any sensor integration on Rviz and show the output of that on the published node
4. Integrate a robot model and simulate (Rviz or Gazebo) with LiDAR to automatically drive around (Give an example of SLAM)
5. Localization and navigation using QR/ RFID
