Provide second-level support for incidents, issues, and requests related to OpenShift and OpenStack environments.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems in OpenShift clusters and OpenStack deployments, including networking, storage, compute, and container orchestration issues.
Investigate and resolve performance bottlenecks, cluster downtimes, and other platform-related issues in both environments.
Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and patches for OpenShift and OpenStack environments.
Monitor system performance and ensure high availability, reliability, and scalability of the platforms.
Leverage automation tools (such as Ansible, Terraform, and Jenkins) to automate infrastructure provisioning, patching, and monitoring.
Develop custom scripts to automate routine tasks and enhance platform efficiency.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integrating OpenShift with DevOps tools like Jenkins, GitLab, and ArgoCD.
OpenShift Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain the OpenShift Container Platform (OCP), including managing clusters, nodes, namespaces, and persistent volumes.
Work with Kubernetes and Docker containerization technologies within OpenShift.
Implement security best practices, monitoring, and logging solutions in the OpenShift environment.
Ensure seamless integration with CI/CD pipelines and support application developers in the containerized platform.
OpenStack Responsibilities:
Administer and manage the OpenStack environment, including Nova, Neutron, Keystone, Glance, Swift, and Cinder components.
Handle virtualized resources in OpenStack, such as compute nodes, storage volumes, and networking components.
Implement automation scripts for infrastructure provisioning and scaling in OpenStack using tools like Ansible or Heat.
Assist in capacity planning and resource optimization within the OpenStack environment.
