About the job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced parliamentary and legal affairs specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal and parliamentary expertise to support the MP's work, including drafting legislation, analyzing bills, and advising on parliamentary procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in law, parliamentary affairs, and governance, with excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Legal and Parliamentary Research:
- Conduct research on legal and parliamentary issues
- Analyze bills, amendments, and legislation
- Provide legal and parliamentary expertise to the MP and team
2. Drafting Legislation:
- Draft bills, amendments, and legislative proposals
- Collaborate with the MP and team to develop legislative ideas
3. Parliamentary Procedures:
- Advise on parliamentary procedures, rules, and practices
- Assist the MP in navigating parliamentary processes
4. Committee Work:
- Support the MP's work in parliamentary committees
- Analyze committee reports and recommendations
5. Legal Advice:
- Provide legal advice on constituency matters and policy issues
- Ensure compliance with laws and regulations
6. Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with legal experts, parliamentarians, and stakeholders
- Build relationships with key stakeholders to inform legal and parliamentary work

Who can apply

1. Candidates with minimum 2 years of experience.

Other requirements

Requirements:

1. LL.B. or LL.M. degree from a recognized university

2. 2+ years of experience in legal and parliamentary affairs

3. Strong knowledge of Indian law, parliamentary procedures, and governance

4. Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills

5. Ability to work independently and collaboratively

6. Strong stakeholder engagement and networking skills

Desirable:

1. Experience working with government, NGOs, or private sector organizations

2. Familiarity with legislative drafting and parliamentary processes

3. Knowledge of constitutional law, administrative law, and governance frameworks

4. Experience working with MPs, MLAs, or other elected representatives

Salary

Annual CTC: ₹ 5,50,000 - 6,00,000 /year
