Mid-Level Space Designer/Architect Job

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conceptualize innovative interior design ideas for clients
2. Conduct market research and design referencing, preparing reports to inform design concepts
3. Develop zoning, circulation plans, and furniture layouts based on store offerings and design strategy
4. Create concept sketches, layouts, and 3D models using SketchUp
5. Assist or lead in preparing and delivering design presentations to clients
6. Collaborate with a team of designers on design concept development projects
7. Develop design intent decks, including basic detailing, material boards, color schemes, signage, lighting plans, and schematic drawings of fixtures and furniture
8. Participate in client briefings and team meetings
9. Review prototypes of recommended design elements
10. Visit project sites to ensure design adherence with the project team
11. Coordinate with clients for information and clarifications
12. Validate detailed drawings from the technical team for design accuracy
13. Develop design manuals upon project completion
14. Coordinate photoshoots for project documentation

Skills Required:

1. Strong understanding of spatial design and aesthetics in Commercial/Retail Interior Design
2. Proficiency in zoning, circulation, and planning of interior spaces
3. Ability to conceptualize interior spaces effectively
4. Knowledge of materials and finishes
5. Proficient in working drawings and detailing
6. Basic understanding of MEP services and their impact on conceptual design
7. Expertise in design documentation
8. Proficient in CAD, SketchUp, and basic Microsoft Office applications
9. An artistic practice such as sketching or painting is an added advantage
