We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced IP communication and networking engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of IP-based communication systems and protocols, including VoIP, SIP, and H.323. The IP communication engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of various in-house and customer IP-based communication systems. Candidates will be expected to travel anywhere in India for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of IP-based audio-visual communication systems.
Key responsibilities:
1. Design, implement, and maintain IP-based communication systems
2. Manage the VoIP infrastructure, including routers, switches, gateways, and servers
3. Monitor and troubleshoot network and voice traffic to ensure optimal performance and quality of service
4. Configure and manage SIP trunks, gateways, and other IP communication components
5. Develop and maintain network diagrams, technical specifications, and documentation
6. Work with other IT teams and departments to integrate IP communication systems with other enterprise applications
7. Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors at the customer place to evaluate new technologies and recommend enhancements to existing systems
8. Provide technical support and training to end-users and support teams
Skills & requirements:
1. Diploma/bachelor's degree in computer science, computer networking, electronics and communication, electrical engineering, or a related field
2. Knowledge of implementing IP-based communication systems
3. In-depth knowledge of VoIP protocols, including SIP, H.323, and RTP
4. Some experience with IP networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs will be an added advantage
5. Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices
6. Knowledge/Experience with VoIP infrastructure components such as routers, switches, and gateways
7. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
8. Strong written and verbal communication skills
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
