Surface Treatment Engineer Job (Part time)

Responsibilities:

1. Manage internal and external projects related to surface treatment, from analysis and testing to implementation and improvement
2. Calculate project costs, oversee sample and prototype processing, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards
3. Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements and implement changes to optimize production processes
4. Coordinate resources effectively and develop comprehensive project plans to ensure successful project execution
5. Provide technical assistance and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development
6. Communicate with external customers to understand project requirements, address concerns, and exceed expectations
7. Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations throughout all project phases

Professional Knowledge:

1. Bachelor's degree in materials science, chemical engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
2. Previous experience in industrial services or a related field, with a strong technical understanding of surface treatment processes (i.e. Metal surface treatment, electroplating, oxidation, Thermal spray, PVD, Electrophoresis, Sand blasting, Galvanization etc.)
3. Proven project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive successful project completion.
4. Demonstrated motivation to drive change and improvement within the organization.
5. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen awareness of quality standards and best practices.
