Pet Groomer Job

Key responsibilities:

1. Grooming Services

- Bathing pets using appropriate shampoos and conditioners.
- Drying and brushing fur to remove tangles and mats.
- Trimming and styling fur as per breed-specific standards or customer requests.
- Clipping nails to a safe length to prevent injuries.
- Cleaning ears and checking for infections or parasites.
- Brushing teeth and providing basic oral care.

2. Pet Care & Handling

- Handling pets gently and ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Identifying signs of skin conditions, infections, or parasites (fleas, ticks, etc.).
- Notifying pet owners of any health concerns observed during grooming.
- Ensuring pets are calm and stress-free during grooming sessions.

3. Customer Service

- Consulting with pet owners about grooming preferences and specific needs.
- Providing recommendations for coat maintenance and pet hygiene.
- Scheduling appointments and maintaining records of grooming sessions.
- Addressing customer inquiries and concerns professionally.

4. Safety & Hygiene Maintenance

- Sanitizing grooming tools and workspaces to prevent cross-contamination.
- Following safety protocols while using scissors, clippers, and dryers.
- Managing aggressive or anxious pets with proper techniques and equipment.
- Keeping up with industry best practices for pet grooming and care.
