Key Responsibilities: -
Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations of students to identify emotional, behavioral, and developmental concerns.
Provide individual and group counseling sessions to students dealing with various challenges.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school administrators to develop and implement effective intervention strategies.
Develop behavior intervention plans (BIPs) for students with challenging behaviors.
Attend Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of IEP goals and accommodations.
Offer workshops and seminars to enhance students' social and emotional skills.
Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions and progress.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student cases and provide insights.
Stay updated with the latest research and trends in child psychology and education.
Qualifications and Skills:-
Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in School Psychology or Clinical Psychology with a focus on child and adolescent psychology.
Certification or licensure as a school psychologist, if required by the state or school district.
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in child psychology or related field.
Strong assessment, counseling, and crisis intervention skills.
Proficiency in English with the ability to communicate complex psychological concepts effectively.
Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for working with children.
Familiarity with various therapeutic techniques and interventions for children.
Knowledge of school policies, educational laws, and regulations related to student services.
