Key responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and maintain robust web applications using PHP and the Code Igniter framework.
2. Implement object-oriented programming principles to create reusable and maintainable code.
3. Develop user-friendly and responsive front-end interfaces with HTML, CSS, and potentially JavaScript frameworks.
4. Work closely with designers and other developers to translate requirements into working applications.
5. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
6. Perform unit testing and debugging to ensure application quality.
7. Collaborate with the team to implement version control practices using Git.
8. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in PHP and web development.
