This is a full-time on-site role for a 'Preservation Engineer' located in Chennai. The 'Preservation Engineer' will be responsible for implementing asset preservation strategies, conducting inspections, developing maintenance plans, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the integrity and longevity of assets.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Work on various projects on a rotation basis
2. Prepare cost estimation for quotations
3. Plan work at the site based on inputs provided
4. Monitor & report daily progress
5. Monitor & have control of incoming and outgoing manpower, materials, and tools
6. Work on client & HQ interface at the site
7. Assist project manager in work planning & implementation
8. Manage the preservation technicians
9. Ensure preservation activities are carried out in full compliance with approved
10. procedures
11. Ensure productivity and discipline of the team
12. Work on executing the preservation operations according to the work plan
1. Those who are from or open to relocate to Chennai and neighboring cities
Qualifications:
1. Degree/diploma in offshore/marine engineering or mechanical engineering
2. Possessing a valid BOSIET certification will be an added advantage
Experience:
1. Prior experience in plant and equipment in marine/offshore or in oil and gas industry
2. Asset integrity management, asset preservation, and asset lifecycle skills
3. Experience in conducting inspections and developing maintenance plans
4. Knowledge of preservation techniques and materials
5. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
6. Excellent communication and teamwork skills
7. Ability to work independently and on-site
8. Experience in asset-heavy industries is a plus
