1. Complete engineering projects by organizing and controlling project elements.
2. Develop project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans and conferring with management.
3. Determine project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements, assigning personnel to phases and elements, and reviewing bids from contractors.
4. Determine project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards.
5. Complete technical studies and prepare cost estimates.
6. Confirm product performance by designing and conducting tests.
7. Determine the project schedule by studying the project plan and specifications, calculating time requirements, and sequencing project elements.
8. Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems.
9. Control project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan, scheduling changes, and recommending actions.
10. Control project costs by approving expenditures and administering contractor contracts.
11. Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; and recommending actions.
12. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
13. Maintain project database by writing computer programs; and entering and backing up data.
14. Maintain product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations.
15. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
