This is a full-time on-site role for a purchasing manager located in the Kolkata metropolitan area.
Key responsibilities:
1. Working on day-to-day tasks related to purchasing jewelry materials, managing vendor relationships, negotiating and securing favorable terms and pricing, and ensuring timely delivery of materials
2. Working closely with the design and production teams to ensure the availability of materials for jewelry production
Qualifications:
1. Experience in purchasing jewelry materials and managing vendor relationships
2. Strong negotiation and procurement skills
3. Knowledge of jewelry materials, quality standards, and pricing
4. Ability to analyze market trends and make informed purchasing decisions
5. Excellent organizational and time management skills
6. Attention to detail and accuracy
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
8. Proficiency in inventory management software
9. Experience in developing and generating purchasing reports from ERP systems and other sources for internal review and to present to management
10. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
11. Experience working in the jewelry industry is a plus
1. Candidates with minimum 3 years of experience.
