We are looking for a skilled front-end developer with expertise in WordPress theme development & customization, plugin development & customization, and experience working with Squarespace and Webflow. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in front-end technologies, UI/UX principles, and the ability to create high-performance, visually appealing websites.
Key responsibilities:
1. Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress themes and plugins.
2. Optimize website performance, responsiveness, and SEO compliance.
3. Customize and enhance Squarespace and Webflow websites as per client requirements.
4. Collaborate with designers and backend developers to implement engaging user interfaces.
5. Ensure cross-browser compatibility, responsiveness, and accessibility of web applications.
6. Troubleshoot and debug website issues for seamless functionality.
7. Integrate APIs, third-party tools, and custom scripts where necessary.
8. Stay updated with the latest web technologies, design trends, and best practices.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), jQuery, and modern front-end frameworks.
Strong experience in WordPress: Custom theme and plugin development, customization, and WooCommerce integration.
Hands-on experience with Squarespace and Webflow customization and development.
Familiarity with PHP and MySQL for WordPress back-end customization.
Experience with Gutenberg blocks, Elementor, or other page builders is a plus.
Knowledge of REST APIs and headless CMS development is a bonus.
Basic understanding of SEO best practices and performance optimization.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Additional Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in front-end development with a focus on WordPress.
Portfolio showcasing custom-built WordPress themes, plugins, and Webflow/Squarespace projects.
Experience with Git, version control systems, and deployment processes.
