Key responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js and Express.js for our web applications
2. Design and implement RESTful APIs to facilitate communication between the front-end and backend systems
3. Work with databases such as MongoDB and MySQL to store and retrieve data efficiently
4. Collaborate with the frontend team to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
5. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in languages like Python, PHP, Java, and Django
6. Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in backend development to suggest improvements
7. Troubleshoot and debug issues, as well as perform regular code reviews to ensure high quality and performance
