As a 'Business Development Specialist' at upTalkk, you will play a crucial role in driving our growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Research & outreach: Conduct deep-dive research to identify revenue opportunities and initiate contact with potential clients.
2. Deal closure: Manage the sales process from initial contact to closing deals.
3. Content promotion: Sell our content creation services, including LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, and newsletters.
4. Innovation: Utilize various outreach methods including email, cold calls, and creative approaches to catch prospects' attention.
5. Playbooks & SOPs: Collaborate in creating effective playbooks and standard operating procedures for future sales hires.
Ideal candidate
1. Experience: At least 6 months in a corporate sales environment.
2. Skills: Exceptional communication skills and a knack for finding and creating revenue opportunities.
3. Independence: Ability to work autonomously with minimal guidance after initial onboarding.
4. Learning: Quick learner with a keen interest in technology and marketing tools.
5. Content consumption: Regularly consumes business, startup, and technology content on YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Reddit.
6. Adaptability: Comfortable with online communication and open to using various outreach methods.
7. Bonus: Experience with online dating apps is a plus, as I feel they are a great playground for sales.
Compensation
1. Probation period: 10,000 per month (3 months duration or consistently good performance - whichever comes early).
2. Post-probation: 20,000 - 30,000 per month, based on performance and experience.
3. Incentives: Uncapped variable incentives based on revenue targets and performance.
