About the job
Key responsibilities:
1. Identify gaps in content and customers' needs to recommend new content ideas that will streamline the sales and marketing funnel
2. Research, write and edit blog posts, ebooks, and other types of content for our own website, as well as for clients
3. Help with hiring, onboarding, coaching, critiquing, and editing the work of junior content writers
4. Work with writers to produce high-quality content before the deadlines
5. Uphold publication standards and establish goals and expectations
6. Prepare content briefs and outlines for assigning to writers, then coach, critique, edit, and suggest revisions
7. Work on editing which includes backing up claims, adding images, making content actionable, and adding examples, internal links, and external links
8. Ensure, and create as-needed, writing processes, practices, and operations to ensure reproducible development and high quality
9. Ensure proper SEO, content categorization, information structure, content distribution, and performance measurement
10. Publish content live on the web complete with links, images, alt texts, proper formatting, SEO, and so on
11. Work on becoming a regular contributor to other well-known blogs and magazines in our industry (guest posts, contributed columns, etc.)
12. Build backlinks to client websites through email outreach, guest posting, skyscraper technique, and other link-building tactics
