About the job
Key responsibilities:

1. Work on creating content focused on the maritime and shipping industries
2. Work on creating articles that are inspiring, informative and relevant to architects and design professionals around the world
3. Research, write, and assign daily stories, including but not limited to project collections, news items, op-eds, in-house announcements, and trend pieces
4. Manage a team of freelancers to create high-quality articles
5. Review pitches and assign, edit, and schedule content for publication
6. Promote content via social media and through regular e-newsletters
7. Craft snappy copy for promotional campaigns and marketing materials
8. Represent Marine Insight at online conferences, events, and interviews

Who can apply

2. Previous experience writing for print or online publications is preferable

7. Visually oriented, with a great eye for striking images

9. Confident in delivering clean & concise copy under tight deadlines

10. Comfortable with a fast-paced publishing schedule

11. Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, journalism, digital media, or equivalent

12. 2-3 years of experience with digital publishing

13. A deep and nuanced understanding of digital media

Duration: 2 months
Salary during probation: 15,000 - 18,000 /month
After probation:

Annual CTC: 3 - 4.5 LPA

Annual CTC breakup:

1. Fixed component: 80%

2. Variable component: 15%

3. Other incentives: 5%

5 days a week
Additional Information

The editor is a key member of Marine Insight's content team. The position will include a 2-month introductory/training period, after which the position can be made permanent based on performance.
