Fullstack SDE Job (Remote)

The Fullstack SDE will be a cornerstone of Bullwhip's engineering team, primarily responsible for the ongoing design, development, and maintenance of engineering systems that power our publisher-facing analytics platform, Beacon. Technically, you'll be diving deep into Python, Django, and leveraging cloud services, especially on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and maintaining & extending the features of our industry-leading analytics web app (built in Vue.js and Nuxt).

Key responsibilities include:

1. Crafting efficient, scalable, and robust backend & frontend systems that enhance the user experience of our platform
2. Collaborating with other developers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of backend services
3. Leveraging best-in-class backend technologies and ORMs, particularly Django, to build and extend reliable and maintainable systems
4. Contributing to architectural decisions, system designs, and database schema planning to ensure optimized performance
5. Engaging in continuous deployment, integrating CI/CD best practices, and ensuring a smooth and consistent release cycle

Qualifications:

1. 1+ years of professional experience in backend development with a specific focus on Python, or frontend development with a focus on JavaScript and TypeScript
2. Solid understanding of systems design, data structures, and algorithms
3. Prior experience with Python and familiarity with its ecosystem, and frameworks like Django, and Django Rest Framework
4. Experience with cloud platforms, especially Google Cloud Platform (GCP), is highly desirable
5. Knowledge of database systems, both relational and non-relational, and best practices related to data integrity and scalability
6. An understanding of CI/CD best practices and prior experience integrating them into development workflows
