We are looking for an astute data engineer to join our analytics team. An ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, and have a sense of ownership.
Key responsibilities:
1. Drive optimization, testing, and tooling to improve data quality
2. Collaborate with other software engineers, machine learning experts, and stakeholders, taking learning and leadership opportunities that will arise every single day
3. Maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all information or assets shared and assessed by you
4. Adhere to Wysa's security, privacy, and compliance policies and procedures
5. Contribute to building continual improvement practices
Skills & Requirements:
1. Knowledge regarding IP and EULA violations
2. Knowledge of security and privacy-related issues while using the open-source algorithm
3. Knowledge of design and coding best practices such as secure coding
4. 0-1 year of experience in the data engineer or similar role
5. Demonstrated experience with a diverse set of databases like MongoDB, Postgres, etc.
6. Proficiency with one or more programming languages (Python, NodeJS preferred)
7. Hands-on experience with database standards and end-user applications
8. Working knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity, and SQL is a plus
9. Working knowledge of GitHub
10. Agile methodology and iterative practices
11. Experience building end-to-end production-grade data solutions that run on AWS (good to have)
