We are looking for an experienced WordPress Developer who can design, develop, and maintain high-quality WordPress websites. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in WordPress development and a strong understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
Key responsibilities:
1. Design & development:
Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch or modify existing ones.
Create responsive designs that are compatible with various devices and browsers.
Implement front-end features using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (including jQuery), and PHP.
2. Customization & integration:
Customize WordPress core functionality to meet specific project requirements.
Integrate third-party plugins and APIs into WordPress sites.
Ensure seamless integration with other systems such as CRM or e-commerce platforms.
3. Performance optimization:
Optimize website performance for speed and scalability.
Implement best practices for SEO optimization within the site structure and content.
4. Troubleshooting & maintenance:
Troubleshoot issues related to theme/plugin conflicts or other technical problems.
Perform regular updates on themes, plugins, and core WordPress files.
Conduct security audits to ensure the site is secure against common vulnerabilities.
5. Collaboration & communication:
Work closely with designers to translate design concepts into functional websites.
Collaborate with other developers on large-scale projects.
Communicate effectively with clients regarding project progress, timelines, and technical details.
6. Documentation & best practices:
Maintain detailed documentation of code changes and updates.
Follow coding standards and best practices within the development team.
1. Candidates with minimum 1 years of experience.
At least 1 year of experience in WordPress development.
Experience with e-commerce plugins like WooCommerce or Easy Digital Downloads.
Skills:
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3 (including preprocessors like Sass or Less), JavaScript (including jQuery), PHP7+, MySQL.
Strong understanding of WordPress core functions, hooks, actions, filters etc.
Experience with page builders like Elementor or Beaver Builder is a plus.
Familiarity with version control systems such as Git/GitHub.
Knowledge of web performance optimization techniques.
Soft Skills:
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Good communication skills both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with e-commerce plugins like WooCommerce or Easy Digital Downloads.
Knowledge of accessibility guidelines (WCAG 2.1).
Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks such as React or Vue.js.
Certification in WordPress development is an added advantage.
