2. Has to visit the Data Centre whenever required in Kolkata, within 1 hour
3. Experience in visiting data centers is a must
Key responsibilities:
1. Configure, install and maintain network devices, including switches, routers, Juniper/Cisco, and firewalls - Check Point, Cisco ASA or Palo Alto, etc.
2. Implement and manage VLANs and trucking to optimize network performance
3. Administer and troubleshoot Routing and Switching Protocols (MPLS), including EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, HSRP and RIP
4. Monitor and enhance network stability through the implementation of RSTP, Spanning Tree, and Ether Channel
5. Perform IPSec Tunneling / Site to Site VPN configuration
6. Collaborate with the Network Operations Center (NOC) to resolve network issues promptly
7. Work with the Internet Protocol Suite (TCP/IP) to manage and troubleshoot IP-based networks
8. Configure and maintain gateways for efficient traffic routing
9. Ensure the security of the network infrastructure and data by implementing best practices and security measures
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
2. 2-3 years of hands-on experience in network engineering and administration
3. Strong knowledge of switching, routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, RIP), and trucking
4. Familiarity with VLANs, RSTP, Spanning Tree, and Ether Channel
5. Proficiency in real-time streaming protocols (RTSP) for multimedia applications
6. Experience with Juniper/Cisco routers and switches
7. In-depth understanding of the Internet Protocol Suite (TCP/IP) and gateways
8. Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with other IT professionals
