About the job

Key responsibilities:

1. Work with the team to develop and execute social media strategies and brand-building activities across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube)
2. Design, manage, and optimize paid social strategy to grow the volunteer base and community
3. Analyze metrics to identify areas for improvement. Increase follower count and engagement by achieving OKRs for follower growth, timely content posting, and high engagement
4. Develop the content calendar strategy for regular, high-quality postings. Lead experiments from time to time
6. Share best practices on best social media with the team to improve everyone's knowledge and awareness Troubleshoot when needed

Other requirements

1. Passionate about non-profit work, environmental conservation, climate change initiatives, and preserving natural habitats. Enjoy trekking, nature, and outdoor activities

2. 2-5 years of experience in social media strategy and management, focusing on Instagram and Facebook, besides other content-first platform

3. Proven at managing projects end-to-end, combining strategic thinking with attention to detail and execution

4. Great communicator, proficient in English and Hindi, with strong writing, verbal, and relationship-building skills to engage diverse stakeholders effectively

5. Ability to think strategically and tactically about social media, positioning, branding, and community insights, and communicate complex issues to inspire the masses

6. Technically proficient with Google Workspace, internet applications, online meeting tools, ChatGPT, Facebook and Google Ad console, and social media tools/metrics

7. Experienced in designing and managing paid campaigns, passionate about high-quality, engaging, and thoughtful copy

8. Empathetic problem-solver with a collaborative mindset and ability to understand and respond to community needs

9. Highly committed and dedicated, willing to contribute 12-15 hours per week part-time

10. Previous experience in top-tier advertising, social media agencies, or brand management; non-profit experience preferred but not necessary

Trekker Warrior Foundation is a government of India registered non-profit organization run by a community of trekkers and mountaineers. We cherish natural habitats, especially mountains, and strive to preserve their serenity and beauty. Our journey began at the end of 2019 with a simple idea to combine trekking with social good, giving back to nature while enjoying its embrace. Since then, we've come a long way, with over 100 community leaders, 200+ activities, and 25,000+ followers on social media. We also hold a section 80G certificate for tax-deductible donations by Income Tax authorities in India.

The founding team comprises two co-founders, both certified mountaineers and professionally accomplished.
