We are looking for skilled SMEs to create high-quality case studies for the Next Generation NCLEX (NGN) assessment. These case studies are critical in evaluating nursing students' clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Case study development: Create realistic, patient-centred case studies involving various healthcare scenarios. Case studies should reflect current nursing practices and patient safety protocols.
2. Question design: Each case study must include multiple types of questions, such as:
a. Extended multiple-response (select all that apply).
b. Matrix/Grid questions.
c. Cloze (fill-in-the-blank) items.
d. Drag-and-drop scenarios.
e. Drop-down questions: Questions should be written at higher cognitive levels, targeting the apply and analyze levels of Bloom's Taxonomy, with an emphasis on decision-making and clinical judgment.
3. Alignment with NGN Framework: Ensure that each case study aligns with the NCLEX Test Plan and integrates the NCSBN Clinical Judgment Measurement Model (CJMM) to accurately assess decision-making abilities.
4. Platform familiarity: Experience working within digital platforms for assessment input, review, and delivery is a plus. Platform to be used - QuAD.
5. Rationale creation: Provide detailed rationales for each question, explaining both correct and incorrect responses to support student learning.
