About the job

Key responsibilities:

1. Conduct regular market research to track the total addressable market (TAM) and monitor trends, consumer preferences, and competitor activity within assigned categories
2. Analyze competitor pricing strategies, promotional tactics, and product assortments to identify opportunities for pricing optimization
3. Collect and analyze data from industry reports, customer feedback, and market trends to inform strategic decisions
4. Develop and implement data-driven pricing strategies for new and existing products based on market research and competitive intelligence
5. Monitor and adjust pricing regularly to ensure competitiveness and profitability while maintaining margin targets
6. Work closely with the merchandising team to align pricing strategies with promotional calendars and sales events
7. Provide category-related recommendations based on research and pricing data
8. Create regular reports on pricing trends, competitor activity, and category performance to inform business decisions
9. Maintain and update internal pricing databases and track historical data to identify patterns and forecast trends
10. Partner with marketing, product development, and sales teams to ensure pricing strategies align with overall business objectives
11. Collaborate with the merchandising team to ensure product assortment decisions align with competitive pricing strategies
12. Assist the sales team with pricing inquiries, promotional guidance, and competitive insights
13. Collaborate with product/technology teams to implement A/B testing and other price optimization techniques to continuously refine pricing models
14. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of pricing strategies through metrics such as conversion rates, sales volume, and customer feedback
15. Leverage consumer data and insights to assess customer price sensitivity and purchasing behavior within categories
16. Analyze the impact of pricing changes on customer retention and brand loyalty
