About the job

Key responsibilities:

1. Update and maintain electronic medical records for each patient with a high degree of accuracy.
2. Enter patient information, including insurance details, medical history, and other pertinent data, into the EMR system.
3. Ensure EMR is fully updated prior to patient appointments and all follow-up documentation is completed post-appointment.
4. Calculate and record growth velocities for pediatric patients using provided data.
5. Submit prior authorization requests to insurance companies on behalf of patients.
6. Follow up on prior authorization requests and submit appeals if requests are denied.
7. Communicate with insurance companies to resolve any issues related to patient coverage.
8. Contact patients to ensure they have provided all necessary information for their appointments.
9. Assist patients in soliciting and collecting growth charts, lab results, X-ray results, and other required documents from their pediatricians or other healthcare providers.
10. Use templates to provide letters to patients for various situations, such as excusing them from school for appointments or allowing them to carry diabetes products on flights.
11. Maintain clear and effective communication with the physician, patients, and insurance companies.
12. Ensure all communications are documented accurately in the EMR system.

Who can apply

1. Candidate must be available to work from 5:30 pm - 1:30 am Indian Standard Time (as the company is based outside of India & their local work timings are 7:00 am - 3:00 pm Eastern Standard Time)

Other requirements

1. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical or healthcare setting.

2. Prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

3. Experience with insurance processes, including prior authorizations and appeals, is highly desirable.

4. Strong English communication skills (both oral and written).

5. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

6. Proficiency in using healthcare management software and tools.

7. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

8. Ability to work independently and proactively.

9. Strong computer skills.

10. Must be available to work during US hours (8am EST to 4pm EST).

11. Must have strong Internet access and own PC/laptop.

12. A background in healthcare, such as a degree in nursing, medicine, or a related field, is preferred (but not absolutely necessary in case the candidate has other relevant experience).

13. Understanding of and commitment to maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards.

Annual CTC: ₹ 4,00,000 - 5,00,000 /year
