WordPress Developer Job (Remote)

Key responsibilities:

1. Participate in Agile development methodology
2. Design, build, and maintain custom WordPress websites and applications, including developing and customizing WordPress themes, templates, and plugins according to client requirements and design specifications
3. Convert PSD or Sketch designs into WordPress themes
4. Troubleshoot and debug WordPress issues, including compatibility problems, plugin conflicts, and theme errors
5. Optimize website performance by implementing caching, minification, and asset optimization techniques and security to ensure a seamless user experience
6. Ensure website security by following best practices, implementing security measures, and staying updated with the latest vulnerabilities and patches
7. Consistently write code following industry best practices that are easily testable, easily understood by other developers, and account for edge cases and errors
8. Manually test the code and functionalities developed and thoroughly verify that the functionality conforms to the requirements
9. Perform code reviews of your colleagues and ensure they conform to the task requirements and software development best practices
10. Shows initiative to create solutions, find improvements and offer assistance when needed without being asked
11. Takes ownership of projects, processes, domains and people and holds themselves accountable to achieve successful results
12. Communicate effectively, clearly, concisely and build strong relationships with their teammates and manager and stakeholders
13. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in WordPress and related technologies
