Key Responsibilities:
1. Research, write, and edit news articles on urban development, policy, and social issues.
2. Create engaging content for social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
3. Develop and produce short videos and multimedia content to complement news stories.
4. Monitor social media trends and audience engagement metrics to optimize content strategy.
5. Collaborate with editorial staff to ensure alignment with Urban Update's mission and goals.
6. Engage with followers, respond to comments, and foster a sense of community online.
7. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging social media platforms.
1. Candidates with minimum 1 years of experience.
1. Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or a related field.
2. Two-year experience in journalism or related field
3. Proven experience in social media management, video production, and news writing.
4. Experience in urban affairs or related topics.
5. Proficiency in video editing software and graphic design tools.
6. Knowledge of SEO best practices for online content.
7. Writing/Editing: Ability to craft compelling stories and revise to fix mistakes.
8. Adaptability: Capable of adjusting to the unpredictable nature of news reporting.
9. Attention to detail: Focus on accuracy in stories.
10. Communication: Strong skills in writing, speaking, and listening.

Established in 1926, the All India Institute of Local Self-Government (AIILSG) has been the steadfast friend, philosopher, and guide to urban local bodies (ULBs) across the country. For more than eight decades, it has contributed to the principles and practice of urban governance, education, research, and capacity building. It has designed and developed a vast array of training literature and courses and trained more than 1.5 million stakeholders in diverse areas of urban governance and urban services delivery. These activities of the AIILSG are practiced through 30 regional centers spread across the country.
