1. Mechanical design and CAD:
- Expertise in using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to design the mechanical structure of the robot.
- Knowledge of structural analysis to ensure that the robot's components can withstand operational stresses.
2. Robotics kinematics and dynamics:
- Understanding of robotic kinematics (both forward and inverse) to ensure the robotic arm can accurately reach the desired positions within its work envelope.
- Knowledge of dynamics for the robotic arm and the mobile base to ensure smooth and stable motion.
3. Vision and perception
- Knowledge of computer vision, 3D perceptron, sensor fusion and SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping)
- Machine learning, signal processing, real-time processing and human-robot interaction
4. Embedded systems and firmware development:
- Proficiency in programming microcontrollers and processors and onboard computers used in robotics (e.g., NVIDIA Orin, ARM Cortex, Arduino, Raspberry Pi).
- Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) to handle tasks such as sensor data processing, motor control, and communication.
5. Actuator selection and integration:
- Knowledge of selecting and integrating appropriate actuators (e.g., stepper motors, servo motors) for both the vertical actuator and the robotic arm.
- Experience in designing or selecting power transmission systems (e.g., lead screws, belts, gears).
6. Sensor Integration:
- Good knowledge of Lidars/ different sensor-based systems for robotics.
7. Software Development:
- Proficiency in programming languages like C++, Python, and ROS (Robot Operating System) for developing software that controls the robot.
- Experience in developing user interfaces for monitoring and controlling the robot.
8. Safety Standards and Compliance:
- Understanding of safety standards relevant to mobile robots and robotic arms, ensuring the design meets industry regulations.
- Knowledge of fail-safe mechanisms and emergency stop systems.
