ROS Software Developer (C++) Job

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and implement ROS-based software solutions for Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) using multiple sensors.
2. Develop clean, modular code in C++ or Python for perception, localization, mapping, and sensor fusion.
3. Develop sensor fusion algorithms to combine data from multiple sensors like - (LiDAR, IMU, etc.). Create ROS packages for encapsulating functionalities like drivers and sensors.
4. Collaborate with hardware engineers to select and integrate sensors, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.
5. Optimize algorithms for real-time performance and resource-constrained environments, considering factors such as computational efficiency and memory usage.
6. Conduct thorough testing and validation of developed SLAM algorithms, both in simulation and on physical robot platforms.
7. Utilize version control systems like Git for managing source code repositories.
8. Write documentation for code, APIs, and ROS packages to facilitate collaboration.
9. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in ROS, LiDAR technology, SLAM algorithms, and sensor fusion techniques, and apply them to improve our robotics solutions.
