We're hiring a senior PHP developer with extensive WordPress knowledge. You'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality web applications and websites using PHP and WordPress. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you'll deliver scalable solutions, ensuring top-notch performance and user experience.
Key responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain custom web applications and websites using PHP and WordPress, following coding standards and best practices
2. Collaborate with the design team and stakeholders to understand project requirements, propose solutions, and provide accurate estimations
3. Design and implement secure, efficient, and scalable database structures and queries
4. Optimize application performance for high availability, scalability, and maintainability.
5. Troubleshoot, debug, conduct testing, and implement necessary fixes or enhancements
6. Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in PHP, WordPress, and related web technologies
7. Collaborate with other developers, conduct code reviews, and provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality and promote knowledge sharing
Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
Proven experience as a senior PHP developer, with a focus on WordPress development
In-depth knowledge of PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related web technologies
Solid understanding of WordPress core, themes, and plugins, including developing custom themes and plugins
Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming (OOP) and MVC frameworks
Experience with version control systems like Git and collaborative development workflows
Familiarity with front-end frameworks/libraries, such as Bootstrap and jQuery, and responsive web design principles
Experience in performance optimization, debugging, and testing methodologies
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, effectively conveying technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
