The Python developer will be responsible for the development and maintenance of web applications and RESTful web services using Python, Django, and related technologies. You will work closely with the algo trading research and development team to develop and improve our existing algo trading and execution model in Python and Django.
Key responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain software applications using Python and Django frameworks for trading platforms and strategies
2. Develop web applications using Python, Django, Django REST Framework, and related technologies
3. Monitor the performance of the trading system, analyze trade data, and identify areas for improvement
4. Write clean and maintainable code that is well-documented and easy to understand
5. Work with the software development team to ensure that all web applications are developed to meet client requirements
6. Collaborate with designers to develop responsive and user-friendly web applications
7. Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other developers
8. Troubleshoot and debug web applications as needed
9. Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in web development
Skills & Requirements:
1. Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
2. At least 1-2 years of experience in Python Django development
3. Strong understanding of web development principles and practices
4. Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
5. Familiarity with SQL and database design
6. Experience with Git or other version control systems
7. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
8. Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
9. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
