Senior Video Editor Job

Key Responsibilities:

1. Edit video content for various platforms, including social media, websites, promotional materials, and ads
2. Cut, trim, and assemble footage to create seamless and visually appealing videos
3. Collaborate with directors and content creators to understand the narrative and storytelling goals of each project
4. Craft compelling and engaging visual stories through effective editing techniques
5. Demonstrate expertise in video editing software, e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve, to enhance and refine video content
6. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in video editing technology
7. Enhance video footage through color correction and grading to achieve the desired visual tone and mood
8. Edit and mix audio elements, including dialogue, music, and sound effects, to ensure high-quality and synchronized audio-visual content
9. Work closely with the production team, including cinematographers, scriptwriters, and directors, to achieve the intended creative vision
10. Incorporate feedback and revisions to meet project requirements
11. Edit efficiently to meet project deadlines without compromising on the quality of the final product
12. Manage and organize project files for smooth collaboration and future reference
13. Accept and implement constructive feedback from team members and stakeholders to refine video edits
14. Iterate on video drafts until the desired outcome is achieved
15. Organize and maintain an efficient file management system for video assets, ensuring accessibility and version control

Requirements:

1. Proven experience as a Video Editor, with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse projects (2+ years)
2. Proficiency in video editing software Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve
3. Solid understanding of video production processes, including color grading and sound editing
4. Creative thinking and a keen eye for visual storytelling
5. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
6. Excellent communication and collaboration skills
7. Ability to adapt to evolving project requirements and feedback
8. Outcome-oriented and proactive in achieving deliverables
