Software Tester Job

Key Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing detailed test scenarios and test cases based on application requirements.
Execute manual test cases and document results, ensuring application functionality meets expectations.
Identify, report, & track defects in the defect management system, ensuring resolution in collaboration with the development team.
Participate in test planning and provide estimates for assigned testing tasks.
Conduct smoke, sanity, regression, and functional testing as required.
Learn and apply automation testing tools under the guidance of senior team members.
Collaborate with developers and senior QAs to understand the system and its integration points.
Contribute to maintaining test documentation and improving QA processes.
Coordinate with Test Automation team to provide feedback on additions/changes to Automation suite.
Required Skills:
Basic knowledge of test planning, scenario creation, and execution for web and mobile applications.
Familiarity with defect tracking tools like JIRA or Mantis.
Exposure to testing tools like Selenium or equivalent is a plus.
Understanding of basic SQL queries for database testing.
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and domain-specific knowledge.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
