We are looking for a motivated speech-language pathologist to assess and intervene in pediatric speech and feeding disorders. Duties of the employee include evaluating and diagnosing speech, language, communication, and feeding disorders; treating speech, language, communication, and feeding disorders; providing training and education to family/caregivers and other professionals; and working collaboratively with professionals from many other disciplines. The ideal candidate should have basic knowledge about treating various types of child language disorders and speech sound disorders. Key Responsibilities:
1. Assess students' communication skills (e.g. articulation, language, fluency, voice, etc.) for the purpose of determining their communication needs deficits and developing recommendations
2. Consult with teachers, parents, other personnel, and/or outside professionals for the purpose of providing requested information, developing plans for services and/or making recommendations
3. Facilitate meetings (e.g. IEP conferences, parent meetings, in-services, etc.) for the purpose of developing plans and/or providing information regarding students' functional goals
4. Instruct students for the purpose of implementing goals for remediation of speech and language deficits
5. Prepare documentation (e.g. evaluations, observations, progress, contacts with parents, teachers and outside professionals, etc.) for the purpose of providing
6. written support, developing recommendations, and/or conveying information
7. Research resources and methods (i.e. intervention and treatment techniques, assessment tools and methods, community resources, etc.) for the purpose of determining appropriate approaches for students' speech and language services
8. Screens students for the purpose of determining the need for further individualized
9. assessment
10. Participates in various meetings (e.g. parent conferences, in-service training, site meetings, etc.) for the purpose of receiving and/or providing information and/or meeting credential requirements
Minimum job requirements:
1. UG and PG, valid college certificates and RCI certificates
2. Prior job-related experience preferred
Other preferences:
1. Familiarity with email scheduling tools and capability to adapt to hospital roles if needed

Skills, Knowledge, and/or Abilities Required:
1. Knowledge of the principles, practices, methods, and techniques of speech and language therapy
2. Knowledge of state and federal laws governing the provision of speech and language therapy services within public schools
3. Knowledge of state and federal regulations and procedures governing special education
4. Ability to document evaluation results and develop goals and short-term objectives
5. Ability to prepare accurate, detailed records
6. Ability to communicate effectively with students with special needs
7. Ability to plan and organize work, set priorities, and meet deadlines
8. Ability to obtain, clarify, and exchange information
9. Ability to perform speech and language therapy services in accordance with established guidelines and standards
10. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of people in a multicultural, diverse socio-economic setting
11. Ability to maintain confidentiality
12. Ability to work as a team member
