Taxation Manager Job

Key responsibilities:

1. Prepare and review income tax returns
2. Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns and payments
3. Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities
4. Advise management on the impact of new tax laws and regulations
5. Coordinate with external tax advisors to optimize tax strategies
6. Lead and manage income tax audits and inquiries by tax authorities
7. Prepare and provide documentation and responses to tax authorities
8. Negotiate and resolve tax disputes
9. Prepare and review quarterly and annual tax provisions for financial reporting
10. Analyze tax implications of business transactions and provide recommendations
11. Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, and assess their impact on the company
12. Supervise and mentor junior tax staff, providing guidance and support
13. Coordinate with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting
14. Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the tax function

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
2. Minimum 1 year of experience in income tax compliance, planning, and reporting, preferably within a corporate environment
3. Proven experience in managing tax audits and working with tax authorities
4. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
5. Proficiency in tax preparation and financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar)
6. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
7. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
8. Effective communication and interpersonal skills
