We are looking to hire a passionate and inquisitive trainee reporter for our editorial team, with a focus on, and experience in, media, marketing, advertising, digital and everything else related to this buzzing space.
Key responsibilities:
1. Researching, writing, and subbing articles, interviews, feature stories as well as analytical pieces
2. Subbing and reporting stories and updates for use online and in print, radio, and television according to the prescribed style guides
3. Attending events and reporting on them
4. Collecting and deciphering data and using findings to prepare clean, concise, and factual articles
5. Creating trustworthy relationships with contacts and sources for use in future research
6. Keeping up to date with the latest news developments and ensuring that you meet all deadlines
Key requirements:
1. Your love for the English Language is more important than your formal education
2. A degree/diploma in journalism, communications, mass media, or a related field would only help you understand the sector
3. Having a strong social media presence as an individual would help
4. You are organized and deliver work within timelines
5. You are a strong team player who can collaborate effectively with different stakeholders
6. Know the basics of Canva to create visuals for all the stories
7. Anyone with prior experience of a minimum of 1 year will be preferred, however, freshers too are welcome
Location: Andheri West - Mumbai (hybrid) (twice a week, work from office).
