1. Conceptualize and develop creative and innovative designs for our kid's wear line, keeping in mind current trends, market demands, and brand identity
2. Translate concepts into sketches, tech packs, and prototypes
3. Research and identify market trends, color palettes, and fabrications suitable for children's apparel
4. Work closely with the manufacturer to ensure designs are translated accurately into production-ready samples
5. Conduct fittings and make necessary adjustments to prototypes to ensure proper fit and comfort for children of various ages
6. Select fabrics, trims, and embellishments that align with design requirements and quality standards
7. Maintain communication with merchandisers and manufacturers to oversee the production process and address any issues that may arise
8. Ensure that all designs meet safety and regulatory standards for children's clothing
9. Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for new collections and product lines
10. Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to continuously improve design processes and product quality
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or related field
2. Strong portfolio showcasing a range of kid swear designs, including sketches, technical drawings, and completed products
3. Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD
4. Excellent understanding of garment construction, pattern-making, and fit
5. Knowledge of fabrics, textiles, and manufacturing processes relevant to children's clothing
6. Creativity and ability to think outside the box while also adhering to brand guidelines and market demands
7. Strong communication, collaboration, and time management skills
8. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all aspects of design and production
9. Passion for children's fashion and a genuine interest in creating clothing that enhances their comfort and style
2. Those who are from or open to relocate to Gurgaon and neighboring cities
