Job Title: Embedded Firmware and Hardware Engineer
Job Description:
As an Embedded Firmware and Hardware Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of embedded systems and hardware solutions. You will work on a variety of projects involving ATMEL microcontrollers, ST Microelectronics microcontrollers, and Raspberry Pi. Additionally, working knowledge of Node.js, HTML, and JavaScript will be considered a valuable asset.
Key responsibilities:
1. Design, develop, and test embedded firmware for ATMEL and ST microelectronics microcontrollers
2. Develop hardware solutions and perform PCB layout and schematic design
3. Integrate and program Raspberry Pi for various applications
4. Debug and troubleshoot hardware and firmware issues
5. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and user manuals
6. Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of software development processes
7. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the company's solutions remain innovative and competitive
Qualifications:
1. Diploma, bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field
2. Proven experience in embedded firmware development for ATMEL and ST Microelectronics microcontrollers
3. Proficiency in C/C++ programming languages
4. Experience with Raspberry Pi development and integration
5. Strong understanding of electronics and hardware design principles
6. Familiarity with PCB design tools (e.g., Altium, Eagle)
7. Working knowledge of Node.js, HTML, and JavaScript is a bonus
8. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
9. Strong communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Skills:
1. Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS)
2. Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git)
