We are seeking a passionate Astronomy Educator to lead stargazing sessions for hotel guests and conduct engaging science workshops for children. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in astronomy and science education, along with excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Stargazing sessions:
a. Conduct informative and captivating stargazing experiences for guests, utilizing telescopes and other astronomical tools.
b. Explain celestial phenomena and answer guests' questions to enhance their understanding and appreciation of astronomy.
2. Daytime workshops:
a. Develop and facilitate hands-on workshops for children, focusing on basic concepts of science and astronomy.
b. Guide activities such as rocket building and solar system exploration, ensuring a fun and educational environment.
3. Collaboration:
a. Work closely with hotel staff to coordinate schedules and enhance guest experiences.
b. Collaborate with other educators and staff to coordinate events and activities.
c. Participate in training sessions provided by the company to refine educational. techniques and astronomical knowledge.
d. Collaborate with the team to develop new programs and engaging content.
4. Others:
a. Build and maintain relationships with clients.
b. Assist in marketing and promoting Astroden Observatory programs and experiences.
c. Maintain and manage equipment and product materials.
d. Conduct guided tours of the observatory and provide explanations of astronomical phenomena.
e. Assist in the development of educational outreach initiatives and partnerships.
f. Stay up to date on current scientific research and discoveries in the field of astronomy.
Note: The candidate will be on a training period of 1 month and will be paid Rs. 10,000/- per month, until he/she successfully completes the training and qualifies in the test. The final employment will be decided after successful passing of the test.
1. Bachelor's degree in physics, science education, or related field is preferred.
2. Previous experience in teaching , public speaking or educational outreach preferred.
3. Strong communication and presentation skills.
4. Passion for astronomy and science education.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Annual CTC: ₹ 2,00,000 - 3,00,000 /year
