As a product listing specialist at Material Depot, you will be integral to our operations team, focusing on the accurate and efficient listing of products on our e-commerce platform. This role requires a meticulous eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and an adept understanding of data management and e-commerce fundamentals.
Key responsibilities:
1. List new products on the platform with accurate descriptions, specifications, pricing, and images
2. Regularly update and maintain listings to ensure accuracy and the highest quality of information is available to customers
3. Utilize MS Excel and Google Sheets to manage extensive datasets, perform data analysis, and organize product information effectively
4. Collaborate with the cataloging and content teams to optimize product texts for SEO to increase visibility and sales
5. Conduct quality checks on product information regularly to ensure all listed products meet Material Depot's standards
6. Analyze performance data of the listings and make informed decisions to improve product visibility and sales
7. Work closely with the IT and Data teams to enhance listing procedures and backend systems
8. Train and potentially manage a team of interns or junior listing specialists to ensure best practices in data handling and catalogue management
1. Proven experience (02 years in e-commerce product listing, data management, or a similar role
2. High proficiency in MS Excel and Google Sheets is essential, with strong capabilities in managing complex datasets
3. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
5. Solid understanding of SEO principles and their application to e-commerce and product visibility
6. Exceptional communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
7. Experience in supervising teams or managing projects is highly desirable
