Purpose of the role: The purpose of a sales research role is to support the sales team by gathering, analyzing, and collecting data related to our potential target market, market trends, competitors, and sales opportunities. The role involves:
Reporting to: Sales Development Manager
Job Location: In person, Mahim (West), Mumbai (HO)
Key Responsibilities:
1. Data mining: Conduct internet-based research on target segments to build, update, and maintain a comprehensive database of prospective clients and key decision-makers
2. Perform extensive online searches to gather contact details for potential clients and keep the database current
3. Running targeted email campaigns to generate leads
4. Generate and qualify leads through effective email outreach
5. Create, maintain, and update prospective client data in CRM software
6. Consistently meet and exceed targets for generating qualified leads
7. Maintain and update tracking sheets for lead generation activities
8. Assist management team members and executives as needed
9. Preparing detailed database reports
1. Should be internet savvy and be able to research for information using various search engines, directories, and networking-related sites
2. Flexible thinking and problem solver who enables quick resolution to unique challenges
3. Deadline-driven
4. Willingness to perform cross-department functions as and when needed
5. Experience with Zoominfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and other tools
6. Previous sales, research, or marketing positions preferred
7. Minimum a Bachelor's degree in any field, Master's preferred
