About the job

Key Responsibilities:

1. Write, test, and maintain Java-based backend applications using Spring Boot.
2. Develop RESTful APIs for front-end integration or third-party services.
3. Design, query, and optimize databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
4. Use Spring Data JPA or Hibernate for database operations.
5. Refactor code for better performance and maintainability.
6. Conduct peer code reviews and optimize application performance.
7. Debug and resolve application issues using logs and monitoring tools.
8. Design and document APIs following best practices (e.g., Swagger).
9. Integrate third-party APIs and ensure robust error handling.
10. Collaborate with front-end developers and DevOps teams.
11. Write and maintain unit and integration tests (JUnit, Mockito).
12. Implement security measures (authentication, authorization, encryption).
13. Conduct code scans and patch vulnerabilities.
14. Document technical details, API specifications, and architectural decisions.
15. Stay updated on Java ecosystem trends and explore new tools/frameworks.

Other requirements

1. Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience.

2. Proficiency in Java, and Spring boot.

3. Mastery in integrating Restful APIs, microservices architecture, and solid knowledge of relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.

4. Be an expert in writing complex, maintainable, quality code.

5. Hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure is a plus.

6. Excellent English communication skills.
