About the job

Key responsibilities:

1. Customer Engagement: Building relationships with customers, understanding their needs, and answering their questions about products or services. This includes in-person interactions, as well as phone calls, emails, and social media.
2. Product Knowledge: Gaining a deep understanding of the product or service being sold. Salespeople should be able to explain features, benefits, and technical details and handle any objections or questions.
3. Lead Generation: Identifying potential customers through various channels, such as networking, referrals, cold calls, and online research, to maintain a steady flow of prospects.
4. Sales Presentations: Preparing and delivering presentations or demonstrations to show how the product meets the customer's needs.
5. Negotiation and Closing Deals: Handling negotiations, discussing terms, and persuading customers to make a purchase while maximizing profit margins.
6. Meeting Sales Targets: Working to achieve or exceed individual and team sales goals. Salespeople are often expected to meet monthly, quarterly, or annual targets.
7. Customer Relationship Management (CRM): Using CRM tools to track leads, sales activities, and interactions with clients, and maintaining customer records for follow-ups and future opportunities.
8. Post-Sales Service: Ensuring customer satisfaction after the sale, addressing any issues or complaints, and fostering loyalty for repeat business.
9. Market Awareness: Staying informed about market trends, competitor activities, and emerging customer needs to adapt the sales strategy accordingly.
10. Reporting and Feedback: Providing regular reports on sales performance, customer feedback, and other key metrics to managers. This feedback helps improve products, services, and sales strategies.
